will give you an overview of Lawyers Technology Services. Lawyers
Technology Services primary assignments are Technology Plans to assist law firms in
evaluating alternatives and making decisions related to improving their automation
support. Lawyers Technology Services will also do other functions related to buying,
installing, implementing, and training, if this is appropriate. It the client desires,
Lawyers Technology Services will perform a total "turnkey" procurement,
installation, conversion, and user-training assignment. Lawyers Technology Services will
also work closely with in-house administrators, or local technology support firms to
create a team solution. They basically work as a specialized resource to help your firm
achieve its automation goals within a defined budget. Fees are on a Fixed Cost Assignment basis or hourly basis.
Fixed Cost Assignments are based on a formal work assignment agreement and actual expenses
(at cost). The hourly fee rate is $75/hour plus a travel fee. Reduced hourly fees are
available for a prepaid block time. The prepaid block rate is $65/hour for at least 40
hours in a 6 month period, or at least 80 hours in a 12 month period. The hourly fee is
charged for client work only and does not include travel time. The travel fee is $.32 mi. round trip with a max. cost of $85/trip. Generally, there
are no other fees. |
